R22 Replacement

R22 Replacement

benefits on R22 replacement

Since the end of 2014, it became illegal to use R22 refrigerant to service and maintain your air conditioning. If your air conditioning system was installed over 10 years ago, it is likely to use R22 and your equipment will be affected by the ban.

R22 is an HCFC with ozone depletion potential and legislation is now in place making it illegal to top up or replenish any air conditioning system with R22. This doesn’t mean you have to stop using equipment containing the banned refrigerant, however if your air conditioning system has a problem, then it may not be possible to repair it.

There are a number of options available to you from retro-fit solutions to replacement. New installations benefit from much higher efficiencies, lower running costs, improved performance, and reliability. Plus a manufacturer’s warranty of up to 5 years.

We can advise you of your best options going forward, giving consideration to your budget, lifetime costs, efficiency, usage and how business critical the current system is should it fail.
